Ascended Heroes is a Mega Evolution special set released in the UK on 30 January 2026, with Elite Trainer Boxes following on 20 February 2026. At 295 cards it is the largest English Pokémon TCG expansion so far. It debuted Mega Dragonite ex and the new Mega Attack Rare, and there is no booster box.
Ascended Heroes arrived in waves rather than all at once. The set date was 30 January 2026, when the first small collections went on sale. The Elite Trainer Boxes (standard and Pokémon Center) and Mini Tins followed on 20 February 2026, and later products ran into April.

Instead of the usual reverse holo, low-rarity Pokémon cards come in two parallel foils: one with a Poké Ball pattern and one with an Energy symbol. Team Rocket's Pokémon use a red "R" in place of the Poké Ball. Our guide to Pokémon card rarities explains the symbols.
No. Like other special sets, Ascended Heroes packs were not sold in booster boxes. The most pack-heavy options are the Premium Poster Collections (10 packs), the Elite Trainer Boxes (9 or 11 packs) and the Booster Bundle (6 packs). See Pokémon TCG product types explained for how these compare, and our sealed products for what we have in stock.
With 78 secret rares, the chase list is long. Mega Dragonite ex, the set's headline Mega, appears as a Mega Attack Rare, a Special Illustration Rare and a Mega Hyper Rare. The Special Illustration Rares also include Trainer's Pokémon such as Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex, N's Zoroark ex and Lillie's Clefairy ex.
Opening for fun
Small collections (2 to 4 packs plus a promo) and Mini Tins are the cheapest way to open a few packs and get something extra.
Most packs per box
With no booster box, the Premium Poster Collection (10 packs) and the Elite Trainer Box are the largest products.
Completing the set
At 295 cards this is a hard master set to finish from packs. Buy singles for the gaps, and sell us your duplicates to fund them.
Keeping it sealed
The ETB, with its N's Zekrom promo, is the usual display piece. Store it cool and dry; see our storage guide. We give no investment advice or price predictions.
