4 Surging Sparks cards and products in stock, each photographed front and back as sold and posted from the UK. Release dates, products and chase cards are in our Surging Sparks guide below the stock.
Surging Sparks is a large Scarlet & Violet main set headlined by Stellar Tera Pikachu ex. It came out worldwide, UK included, on 8 November 2024 and has 252 cards (191 plus 61 secret rares). There is a 36-pack booster box, and the best-known chase cards are the Pikachu ex Special Illustration Rare and gold Hyper Rare.
Surging Sparks went on sale at participating retailers worldwide, UK included, on 8 November 2024. Build & Battle Boxes came first: prerelease events ran on the weekends of 26–27 October and 2–3 November 2024, and stores in the Prerelease Program could sell the boxes from 26 October. Newer sets are on our release calendar.
The set leans on Lightning-type and Dragon-type Pokémon. Pikachu ex, Alolan Exeggutor ex, Archaludon ex and Latias ex lead it, with 8 Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, 9 Tera Pokémon ex and 8 ACE SPEC cards. Officially it is "over 250 cards"; the full list runs to 252. Our rarities guide explains each tier.

This is a standard main set, so there is a 36-pack booster display box as well as Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles, blisters and Build & Battle Boxes. Packs hold 10 cards and a Basic Energy, and come in four wraps (Alolan Exeggutor, Archaludon, Latias and Pikachu). The Elite Trainer Box promo is a full-art foil Magneton. For what each product type is, see Pokémon TCG product types explained.
Pikachu ex is the clear headline. It appears as a Special Illustration Rare and as a gold-etched Hyper Rare, and was the face of the set's marketing.
