Scarlet & Violet—151, usually just called Pokémon 151, is a special set built around the original 151 Kanto Pokémon, in Pokédex order. It was released in the UK and worldwide on 22 September 2023. It has 165 numbered cards and 207 in total, and there is no booster box: packs only come inside other products.
Scarlet & Violet—151 came out on Friday 22 September 2023, the same day in the UK as worldwide. The first wave was the Elite Trainer Boxes, Poster Collection, Binder Collection and Booster Bundle. The Ultra-Premium Collection, the two ex boxes and the Mini Tins followed on 6 October 2023.
| Date | Products |
|---|---|

| 6 October 2023 | Ultra-Premium Collection, Alakazam ex Collection, Zapdos ex Collection, Mini Tins |
The set was released over three years ago, so if you are after particular cards, singles are usually the simplest route. For sets that are still to come, see our UK release calendar.
The set is numbered to 165 and has 207 cards in total. Cards 001 to 151 are the original Kanto Pokémon from Bulbasaur to Mew, in National Pokédex order; 152 to 165 are Trainers and Energy. The 42 cards numbered 166 to 207 are secret rares, above the printed total.
| Rarity | Cards | Numbers |
|---|---|---|
| Common, Uncommon and Rare | 153 | 001–165 (excluding the ex cards) |
| Double Rare (Pokémon ex) | 12 | For example 006 Charizard ex, 151 Mew ex |
| Illustration Rare | 16 | 166–181 |
| Ultra Rare (full-art ex and Supporters) | 16 | 182–197 |
| Special Illustration Rare | 7 | 198–204 |
| Hyper Rare (gold) | 3 | 205–207 |
| Total | 207 |
Each pack holds 10 cards plus a Basic Energy. Our guide to Pokémon card rarities explains what each rarity symbol means and how to tell an Illustration Rare from a Special Illustration Rare.
No. 151 is a special set, and its packs were never sold in a traditional 36-pack booster box. The most packs in one product come in the Ultra-Premium Collection (16), then the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box (11) and the standard Elite Trainer Box (9). The Booster Bundle (6 packs, nothing else) is the simplest way to buy packs.
If a listing calls something a "151 booster box", check what is actually inside. Our guide to Pokémon TCG product types explains each box, and how to spot fake Pokémon cards covers resealed and fake product.
The chase cards are the seven Special Illustration Rares (198–204), led by Charizard ex, plus the gold Mew ex Hyper Rare (205). The 16 Illustration Rares, which include Pikachu and the Kanto starters, are popular with collectors building a full set. The table below lists the main ones with their numbers and rarities.
We sell 151 singles, each photographed as sold, in our singles shop, and graded copies when we have them under graded cards. If you have 151 cards you no longer want, you can offer them to us through sell your cards.

MEW is the abbreviation card databases and sellers use for the 151 set, alongside the collector number. Our own 151 listings use it too, which makes a card easy to match to the set list.
